unable to disable send notification

After adding a send notification, with email - it appears to be somewhat sticky.
No matter how I try there appears to be no way (from the UI) to remove the notification through the job editor page - switching off notify, or emptying the email box, un-checking the notify on - ... they just quietly return.

I see this happening on 1.1.0 and 1.2.0

    workaround is to empty the email box and leave it checked when updating, this will remove the notification
