#540 new

Exception thrown using JDK 7

Reported by Hasan | March 10th, 2012 @ 04:20 AM

  • Issue Type: Bug
  • Rundeck version: 1.4.2

Inexplicable Exception blocks further attempts to run Job. RunDeck restart required.

Editing a line in a work flow an rerunning the job produced the attached the Exception, but it seemed more coincidental than consequential.

What JDK version are you using?

I think this may be caused by differing JDK versions. The exception is due to the compiled class expecting java.lang.Exception to have 4 constructors, but seeing 5. There are only 4 in java 1.4-6, but there are 5 in Java 7.

I believe I was using 1.7 at the time.

I think this is an issue with using jdk 7 then. Changing description and marking #521 as a duplicate.
