When a command fails on a node, there needs to be more explanation as to why it failed

Reported by Deleted User | October 8th, 2010 @ 10:40 AM

While the command may fail, the transport, ssh may fail for various reasons. It should be evident if it's due to connection timeout or something else.

The node that failed should contain information related to:

  • base OS errors (memory, ports, files limitations)
  • transport errors (connection timeout, connection dropped)
  • return codes
  • signals caught (SIGHUP, etc.)
