irclog is unable to connect to freenode

I see the following in the log message
Trying to connect to server irc.freenode.net
Server error occurred! Closing Link:
ec2-184-73-252-21.compute-1.amazonaws.com (Connection timed
out)
Lost connection to server 216.165.191.52.

Server error occurred! Closing Link:
ec2-184-73-252-21.compute-1.amazonaws.com (Connection timed
out)
Lost connection to server 78.40.125.4.
Not sure why it's unable to connect.

- Tag set to “community service outage, infrastructure, irc”
- Milestone order changed from “7” to “0”
I tried changing the NICK of the chatbot and it seems to make a difference.
