History needs to show what command or job was run
Reported by Damon Edwards | December 14th, 2010 @ 10:47 AM | in Rundeck 1.1
In the history list it doesn't what command was run on either the main line or the expanded view of the line. You have to follow the output link to discover what was run.
When you read through the history list you should be able to
see:
1. Was it a ad-hoc command or a job that ran
2. What the command or job was that ran (or at least the first xx
number of characters and then more displayed when expanded.

workflows may have multiple items... do you want it to just show the first workflow step?

Show the first one with ... N steps indicating the remaining number of steps.

On the main line (what you see without expanding the view) I was imagining that it would show the first N number of characters for ad-hoc commands and for a job just show the job name (or first N number of characters if it is really long). In the expanded view you could show more (more characters, steps of a job, etc.)
The idea here is to make the list useful for:
1. scanning the list to see what is being run
2. scanning for a particular history itemas it is now, you have to click too far in to see what is really the key piece of info... what action was run.
