Make job "script" steps have a name
Reported by Marc David Rovner | March 12th, 2012 @ 02:39 PM
- Issue Type: Improvement
- Rundeck version: 1.4.2
Issue:
In a job, "script" steps currently just say "Script: N lines". Without expanding each script step, and even after, hard to know what that step is supposed to do.
Suggesting "script" steps have a name, and when viewing the steps, this name is displayed.
For instance, now I have a job that has:
- sudo /etc/init.d/tomcat stop
- Script: 9 lines =>
(=> is the graphic to expand the script)
Step 2. is a short script to check and wait for tomcat to completely stop.
If I had the name field, I could say "Wait for tomcat to stop", and then the job step list could look something like:
- sudo /etc/init.d/tomcat stop
- Script: Wait for tomcat to stop (9 lines) =>
